Our group of 4 had a lovely time in the warm atmosphere of Urban Grounds Cafe. The online booking the previous evening was easy to manage so it was nice to just arrive and find our reserved table on a rather buy Saturday afternoon. There was also room for comment in the online booking and I was able to let them know I was celiac and would be requesting gluten free food.They had a separate toaster for the GF toast I ordered the smashed avo and egg with all the trimmings. We were all happy with our food and there were no leftovers :-) Coffee to follow was also very nice and mellow. Thanks for a lovely place to meet on a windy Saturday in Toowoomba, friendly service, yummy food and ease to tend to my dietary requirements.
Wow. I'm so glad I found this place. The food is completely different to anywhere I've been before. It was so hard to choose just one dish for lunch but we all couldn't believe the different delicious flavours. So nice. The place was very busy and I could see why. Food spectacular, staff friendly and attentive and the venue was great. This will be our new place for birthdays etc. I can't wait to come back again and try more of the menu. They also had colouring sheets for kids with pack of markers to colour at the table to keep the kids occupied. Great idea. Highly recommend. Fantastic.
Food is definitely a perfection. Atmosphere is very welcoming with great hospitality and service from the staff. It was busy when i went so couldn’t expect to be 10/10 but i would definitely say that staff were super attentive and very well known of the ingredients. Big breaky was definitely worth the price. Huge indoor outdoor and alfresco dine in. Might have a slight issue with parking as the cafe is located in busy street.
Wow … wow… wow… the food is quite simply the best.. combining flavours I had to try. Breakfast to die for Got to chat with the chefs while leaving and they are true food lovers who believe in there trade. Well done dream team !!!!
Lovely restaurant adjacent to Laurel Park. The food was delicious, coffee a bit strong but good. A very popular place for couples and groups to meet up. Because of the numbers of people, expect a fair amount of noise which becomes an issue for people with hearing issues.
Our waiter Cameron was fantastic, friendly and thoughtful, and went the extra mile to accommodate me, my sister, and my two children. It’s not often you find a restaurant that’s so kid-friendly, but they had toys, colouring-in sheets, and pens which kept the kids entertained. I ordered one serving of nuggets and chips for my kids to share since they’re little and don’t eat much. Cameron kindly brought out an extra basket so they didn’t have to share from the same one. He also helped carry the highchair out for my son, which we really appreciated. His attentive service made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and hope to see him again! Definitely needs some praise, what an amazing worker! Also the food and drinks were fantastic! 😁
Went in for breakfast and had a jolly good time! Staff were friendly, and when asked if we could remove an item from the food they were happy to do so. Their coffee was divine, unlike come I've had, so if you have had a bitter or foul coffee this place wont disappointed! The asparagus on the farmerhouse breakfast was tasty but the bottom of the stem was a little undercooked and difficult to eat, and the mushrooms were a little too salty. But over all delicious and will order again! The place was clean and comfortable, we had no problem being seated, the music being played was nice and the view outside on the verandah was beautiful!
I ordered the Mediterranean-style avocado toast with poached egg. The food quality was really good and it had a great flavour. The cafe has a lovely and memorable atmosphere, with a nice view as well. The only downside was that the order took a little longer to arrive, but I think that was understandable because it was a busy sunny Saturday morning. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and definitely worth visiting.
Tried the new dinner menu and it exceeded expectations. Quality food, great flavours and excellent service. It's one of those menus where deciding what to order is the hardest part because everything sounds amazing. We had the Crab Crumpets, Mushroom Toast, Lobster Ravioli and Black Kingfish, Brownie Doughnuts, and every dish was excellent. It's a step above the usual pub or café offering while still keeping a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend giving dinner a try. We'll definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a quaint little spot that you may miss driving along the streets of Toowoomba, but it’s worth a look. The cafe has plenty of seatings throughout, inside and out. The service is excellent and the food came out quick and delicious. We ordered the big breakfast that is big enough to share. The place was warm on a cold day like today. Definitely recommend.
